Whew – this (Re-)Opening Day was one for the books. Having the Debs back has been so great for them, and us too. Saturday the girls moved into their cabins, had lunch, and then they all registered for their classes. Sunday was picture day and we had our first movie, “Moana,” under the stars. We have some great counselors and the weather is nice and warm and no rain in sight! I hope to post pictures every Monday, Wednesday and Friday before noon. If I am late, don’t panic and don’t break your refresh button. It’s so wonderful to see all the campers laughing and enjoying being outside and not staring at a phone!!! Tonight we will have Cabin Song Night and Cabin 12 will go on their overnight.
Thank you, more than ever, for trusting us with your daughter this term. This has been such a terrible ordeal for our camping community, but we are so blessed with lots of support from the other camps and all of you. Together we will get through this ordeal and we truly appreciate your prayers. Yesterday’s church message was based on a quote, “Do not think less of yourself if you cannot be fearless. Doing it afraid is just as brave.”
