Happy Wednesday! We’ve had an eventful few days around here! Sunday was Junior Deb Waterfront followed by Carnival. Then to start the week, we switched things around in preparation for the thunderstorms and rain, which never came. So Monday was Tuesday, complete with candy day at the Canteen, and Tuesday was Monday. Wednesday is Wednesday now, but we may never mentally recover from that schedule switch! On Monday (which was Tuesday), we had Merry Half Christmas. Santa and Mrs. Claus came, the stockings were hung by the office with care, secret buddy gifts were exchanged, and we had a very, very special Christmas delivery. That evening while the campers were on the Flagpole Field celebrating Merry Half, our first two replacement Old Town canoes were delivered from Maine. The girls all cheered and sang Dip Dip and Swing, and there were a few tears shed. What a special moment we all got to share. Yesterday (which was Monday), we had Water Day! The weather was warm, the water was cool, and the girls had a great time getting out of their normal routines and spending the day in the Creek, playing the sprinklers, doing the slip and slide, or having water fights. We finished the day watching Moana under the stars. This morning we announced Honor Cabins: Cabins 8, 4B, 11B, and 12. The Junior Deb and Deb winners have all won 3 weeks in a row!
Remember to check your email for the schedule for Closing Weekend. Have a great rest of your week and we’ll check in again Friday!
