Yesterday we celebrated Merry Half Christmas and everyone was dressed in their Christmas colors and Mr. & Mrs. Clause made an appearance. The girls found out their secret buddies and all had a great day. There was one small disappointment – we ALWAYS have chocolate milk for Christmas lunch but the milkman made a mistake and didn’t deliver it. There were some unhappy campers, counselors and more importantly, staff members! The kitchen crew promises the chocolate milk will be served tomorrow and everyone will enjoy it then! Tonight is our last Cabin Night and Cabin 12 will get dressed up and go to Bridget’s Basket for supper. Tomorrow we will have the Deb & Jr Deb Archery tournaments and the Sub Deb Gaga tournament.
Today we mailed a copy of the Closing Schedule along with an application card for next summer. Please bring that card next weekend so your daughter will be registered for 2025 and be eligible for the loyalty discount. If she is registered, she will receive a copy of the video of the 2024 summer around Christmas.
Friday the 28th we will have the Watershow at 10:00 and you are welcome to attend – this applies to the Jr Deb or Deb synchronized classes and Canoe Club. Friday evening the gate will open at 6:00 and Serenades will begin at 7:00. Parents will leave after Serenades and the girls will go on their Tribe Hills and we will have Closing Campfire for the campers only. Saturday the gates will open at 9:00 and you will load your cars and the Awards Ceremony will begin around 10:00 am. Please make every effort to attend next weekend – it matters to your daughter and it’s a great time to meet their friends. I can’t believe we are already talking about Closing!
