Good morning! We’ve had a great start to our term! On Opening Day, new campers drew for their tribes, everyone registered for classes, and then the girls had tribe meetings to elect their officers. On Friday we started classes and hit the ground running! We love getting right into the routine and not having too much down time. Saturday was July 4th and we started the day with flag raising. We continue to grieve for the lives lost in last summer’s floods. We are also showing our campers how to move forward with the support of their camp community. Saturday night, the campers went on their tribe hills where all 1st and 2nd year campers got initiated into their tribes. Then we had Opening Campfire and the Princess ceremony. Yesterday we took yearbook pictures, had flag raising and church, and then had free swim after rest period. We closed the weekend with a movie (“Barbie Princess Charm School”) under the stars. Life is good on The Creek!
We will post pictures here every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at or around 11:00am. If we’re a little late, don’t break your refresh button!
